Our PE Curriculum
Colnbrook C. of E. primary school has begun to work with the Create Development organisation and deliver their “real PE” programme in our curriculum time PE sessions.
With their schemes of work and approach we are beginning to tailor our teaching and learning to develop the “whole child” thus looking not only at their physical skills but also their cognitive, social, personal, creative and knowledge of health and fitness; these are known as the ‘Cogs for Learning-Multi Abilities’.
In each lesson we work to the three philosophies of Create Development which are: creating personalised learning opportunities, creating a clear and shared learning journey and shifting responsibility to the learner. With our partnership with Create Development we aspire to engage all children in PE.
We hope to move forward with the introduction and development of their ‘Assessment Wheel’ which should enable us to be able to monitor and assess every child and their long term development in Physical Education.

We have introduced the 'Daily Mile' to enable every child, every day, to participate in fifteen minutes of running/jogging/walking outdoors. For more details click on the links below:
